On July 25, the third expedition of the Ibaialde Indianoak association will begin its journey in the waters of the Atlantic from Plazentzia.
At the end of a dozen stages they will arrive in Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, and will celebrate Basque culture and traditions everywhere.
This is why a traveling exhibition has been set up. The show has already arrived in Newfoundland at the end of June, and dozens of people have already been able to learn.
Consisting of 14 panels – as much as the number of people who make up the crew of the boat – the exhibition explains the approach of the association but also historical aspects, the relationship of Basque to fishing and life on land- Newfoundland and St. Pierre and Miquelon.
It is about 12 meters long like the boat and it will follow the crew all along this journey to meet the diasporic community of North America.
You can visit the digital version of the exhibition below. Have a good visit!
